Privacy Notice

How Gold Plastering handles your enquiry and personal information.

Last updated: 8 October 2026

Who is responsible for your information

Gold Plastering is run by a self-employed sole trader. The business owner is responsible for your personal information (the data controller) and is the only person within the business who handles enquiries.

For privacy questions or requests, call 07979 052659.

What the enquiry form collects

The form asks for your name, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in and your message. These details are sent to the business owner by email. Include only information relevant to your plastering enquiry.

The required fields help the owner understand your request and contact you. You can also call instead of using the form.

Why your information is used

The owner uses your enquiry to respond, discuss your plastering requirements and prepare a quotation. Your enquiry details are not sold or used for advertising or mailing lists.

For a quotation you request for yourself, the lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. For other enquiries, the basis is the business's legitimate interest in responding to requests about its services.

Who handles your enquiry

Only the business owner handles your enquiry for Gold Plastering. Website hosting and email services also process information as needed to operate the website and transmit and store messages. Your enquiry is not shared with other businesses for their marketing.

Information may also need to be disclosed where the law requires it. Where service providers process information outside the UK, applicable data-protection safeguards must be in place.

How long information is kept

Enquiry and quotation information is kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and any related follow-up. The owner considers whether the enquiry is still active, whether work has been agreed and whether records are needed for a complaint, legal claim or record-keeping obligation. Information is deleted when it is no longer needed for those purposes.

If an enquiry leads to work, relevant information may form part of job and accounting records. Where retention is required by law, the basis is compliance with a legal obligation. Necessary records for complaints or legal claims are kept on the basis of legitimate interests. You can call to ask about retention or request deletion.

Website security and external links

The website uses your IP address and submission timings to limit abusive requests. This supports the legitimate interest in keeping the enquiry service secure and available. Hosting services may also process technical connection information.

The password-protected preview uses a session cookie to remember authorised access. It is used for access control rather than advertising.

The Contact page displays an embedded Google Maps map. When the map loads, your browser connects to Google, which receives technical information such as your IP address. Google's handling of information is explained in its privacy policy.

Your rights and concerns

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your information, request deletion, restrict its use or obtain a portable copy. These rights are subject to applicable legal conditions.

Your right to object: You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, including general enquiry handling, website security and retaining records for complaints or legal claims.

Call 07979 052659 to discuss a request or concern. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
